Mr. Weisman is experienced in high profile litigation, arbitration, mediation, and negotiation, and has represented US and foreign clients in countless litigated cases. He has been an arbitrator and represented clients in various court-related and independent arbitrations and mediations. He has served as the court or non-court mediator in over 100 mediations. Mr. Weisman takes great pride in economically, creatively, and cooperatively resolving disputes, without having to go to court when possible, thus preserving business relationships and reputations, and time, energy, and money. But he is also known for litigating through to collecting on domestic and foreign assets when necessary. Mr. Weisman first worked in Asia three decades ago. He has been back-and-forth between the US and Vietnam for over two decades, well-before the 2000 US-Vietnam Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) confirmed Vietnam’s lightening economic growth and current opportunities. Mr. Weisman has experienced first-hand the rapid transformation of Vietnam’s economy, culture, and legal and related institutions. He understands how things are done now, with clear insight into the future. Mr. Weisman deeply respects good business introductions and relationships, in the context of due diligence. Mr. Weisman is experienced with foreign investment in Vietnam. He is familiar with the various international treaties, laws, institutions, and other key issues related to structuring and capitalizing the various forms of foreign investment in Vietnam, so as to best-protect and benefit foreign investors. Most potential issues can be avoided by much more careful and strategic initial structuring of foreign investment than is typically done, along with consistent follow-through during all stages of implementation. Mr. Weisman maintains a two decades old law practice in the US through his Limited Liability Law Company (LLLC) there, which through Bizlink is available to assist Vietnamese form US companies and other entities and invest and trade in the US and other countries, establish sales and distribution relationships, register and protect intellectual property such as trade names and trademarks, and as necessary pursue foreign dispute resolution and international collections. Mr. Weisman has been lecturing for over five years in International Business Law and related courses at various universities and other institutions in Ho Chi Minh City and elsewhere, including at the International School of Business-University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City (ISB-UEH).
