work
- Representing
a Korean investor (an arm of one Korean conglomerate) in settling
dispute value of more than US$100 million at the court of Vietnam with
Vietnamese and foreign partners in relation to an investment cooperation for a
high-rise building project in Hanoi. This
is a big and complicated dispute case whereby contractual relationship between
the parties are combination of employer-contractor relationship and joint
venture / product sharing relationship, taken place in the difficult situation of real estate market of Vietnam
- Representative
a big Korean construction company in settling various disputes [5 cases] with
various sub-contractors and guarantors (commercial banks) in relation to
sub-contract agreements for execution of an express-way road in Vietnam
- Acting as
representative and litigator in favor of a big fund management company
in negotiation and court proceedings in relation to a capital funding agreement
worth of more than US$10 million between the client (the Plaintiff) and
Vietnamese parties in a joint venture company operating in telecom
infrastructure development. It is
noteworthy in this case is that both channels [negotiation & court
proceeding] had been wisely and effectively made use of concurrently to reach
successful outcome [share acquisition had been finally agreed by the parties]
- Acting as
representative in favor of an offshore fund management company in
negotiation for solving disputes between shareholders of a group of electronic
trading / media companies in Vietnam for restructure of the companies. The
outcome has been finally reached thru negotiation for a successful M&A
transaction
- Acting as
representative and counsel in favor of two Singaporean and Thailand
companies operating in field of hospitality in negotiation and arbitration
proceeding (VIAC) in a dispute with Vietnamese investor in relation to
management agreements of hotels and resorts in Vietnam
- Acting as

(operating in field of logistics) for protesting against the licensing
authority (i.e. Hochiminh People’s Committee) in issuance of Investment
Certificate on the term of the investment project
- Acting as
representative and counsel in favor of a French retail group in
negotiation and arbitration proceeding in a dispute with Vietnamese property

solving dispute with German contractor in relation to a residential and
commercial property project in Vietnam
- Acting as
representative and adviser in favor of a property developer (owned by big
Indonesian/Singaporean property developer) in protesting against the
decision on land rental imposition by Government of Vietnam. It is noteworthy in this case is that in the
difficult situation of the real estate market of Vietnam, the State authority
are trying to impose irrational and
unilateral decision on land use fee on the developer.
- Acting as
legal adviser in favor of an Israeli invested company in settling
dispute at the court from the advertisement agreement in relation to a
time-share resort project
- Acting as
legal counsel in favor of a big Taiwanese/Indonesian cement company (investing
in Vietnam) in settling labor dispute at the court of Vietnam in relation to
